How is Catlin Canada set up?
Catlin Canada is set up as Underwriting Managers writing business 100% for the Catlin Lloyd’s Syndicate 2003. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Catlin Group.
Does Catlin Canada deal directly with the public?
No, we only deal with Brokers with whom we contract with.
Do I require a contract to deal with Catlin Canada?
Yes, a contract is required to transact business with us. We contract with a limited number of Brokers who mirror and support our business proposition.
Can I still deal with Catlin London?
The choice is yours. Either way we ask that you advise either your London Broker if you have approached Catlin Canada and vice versa. This will avoid any confusion.
Catlin Group does operate with one data platform so at any time we can immediately identify if any of our offices have been approached.
Globally you show over 30 classes of insurance products which you write and yet for Canada you only list some of those product lines. Can you write the other lines of business?
Initially Catlin Canada will focus on the lines listed on our insurance products page, however we can access London to offer the other products we write globally. Our future expansion includes writing other classes of business as we see an opportunity.
How do I submit in new ideas for insurance products or services?
Please contact us to discuss any opportunities.
Where will policies, invoices and documentation be issued?
All documentation will be issued locally. This will ensure quick turnaround time and delivery service to our brokers and customers.
Where will claims be paid?
In the majority of cases claims will be paid locally by Catlin Canada.
