Skiing for Kids

January 2008 - Catlin Canada and Belfor Restoration partnered in co-sponsoring a team entry in the Ronald McDonald Charities Ski Challenge to raise funds for children in need. Since the inception of the Challenge, over $3.5 million has been raised.

Following a warm-up exercise routine lead by none other than Ronald McDonald himself, 100 corporate teams of four skiers spent the day skiing and racing at Mt. Tremblant all in the cause of raising money to help children and their families with serious illnesses, disabilities or chronic conditions to lead happier, healthier and more productive lives.

Team Catlin/Belfor team members included:
Kate Dodge: Aon Reed Stenhouse
Dawn Finnegan: Belfor Restoration
Marianne Packota: Belfor Restoration
April Savchuk: Catlin Canada

The first challenge was held over 25 years ago in Collingwood and many of the current participants including Aon Reed Stenhouse have been part of it since the beginning.

A special heartfelt thanks and acknowledgement at the gala dinner was provided by the RMHC executive to Cedric Gyles of Aon Reed Stenhouse, one of the founding supporters of the event, for his long term commitment to the cause and for bringing out a record number of 15 insurance industry teams this year.
